Welcome, Melchior! While I knew what a slingshot was when a child, I'm just a budding enthusiast now at the ripe old age of 58! I find it a great sport/hobby/relaxtion/etc.... it's a cure for all ailments. And yes... I'm very grateful for this forum. I hope slingshots build in popularity and surpass the way they once were (as I understand they were very popular in the 50s/60s).

Yes, 1950-1970 was a time when slingshots were very popular in the USA. Other countries did not have a slingshot boom during that period. But I feel slingshots are slowly regaining popularity, partly due to control of firearms and, of course, because they are so much fun :cool:
