Hey guys what is the longest distance from which you have hit your target from. My personal farthest distance is about 175 feet shooting at a tin can using 5/16in Trumark ammo. What are your farthest distances guys? Thanks JT

Last year at the Tournament in Illinois, a few of us were shooting at a Plastic water bottle wedged in the crotch of a small tree. The distance had to be 75- 100 yards. We must have taken 50 to 100 shots at that darn bottle, but the wind was killing us. I think we hit it twice but they were glancing blows-nothing solid. That is about the furthest I've ever shot that I can remember. Flatband:)

I hit it once (barely) and another guy Linvale ( who came in second BTW to Jaybird for the Championship) hit it also. That was a crazy distance shot to try but it was fun!:D Flatband

Depending upon where I set my backstop along the side of the house, I can shoot up to 20 yds (60') and I often do. I may only hit my 2.5" square rubber target 2 out of 10 shots at that range, but that's part of the fun, practicing and getting better. When I was a kid, my dad and I would go camping with a local father/son organization and would frequently shoot slingies around the campsite. I know I took a few 100 plus yard shots back then, but I don't recall actually hitting anything at those distances. :D

Likewise...I don't hit the target even half of the time at 75'. If it were a paper plate, I'd venture to say a good 60% I could hit it. Since it's a pop can, I'm in the 20 - 30% range. ;)
