Maple Ergo Frame

Here's a picture of the type slingshot I like to shoot.It's an Ergo style carved from Maple.The cuts,grooves and angled handle are all made to fit my frame holding hand(left) naturally when using a finger braced grip.The band set-up is an over the top configuration using tapered latex and a stiff double cupped pouch sized for 1/2" ammo.I usually use 3/8" but was out shooting cans and really wanted to hurt them! Where do you get your flat bands?

JN,I buy all different types of sheet rubber from companies and test them out.I love to experiment with slingshots.The rubber I'm presently using is Latex sheeting from McMaster Carr.They have all kinds of rubber in all kinds of gauges and everything else for that matter.I make my own sling assemblies.I cut the rubber from the sheets,and cut the pouches from split cowhide pieces.
