I've been using the rr-t bands for my s9-fo, and the band broke after about 250 shots. This wasn't because of rough prong ends because The band split at the knot which connects the band to the pouch and it split under the looped over area. Any Idea why this may have happened?

Hi Flava, what size ammo are you using and did you shorten the length of the tubes? Flatband:)

I was using 3/8" steel shot and I didn't shorten the bands prior to use. I only draw up to my cheek and not over. I sometimes use rocks, that may be the issue...do you guys need a picture of the rip?

yeah, rocks would do it.then again.tempurature chages where you live mixed with even a hairline cut may have cause a break.like forest gump said. "**** happens" its just a few bad random things happened resulting in a break.no big deal,im sure you wont ever get one to break again so easily.

Hi Flava, you might try a very little bit of lube at the attachment for the pouch. A vinyl-rubber protectorant works real well. Years ago we used Armorall or Vaseline. Only a very little right at the connection where the tube goes through itself. It will help against abrasion and make them last a bit longer. Now that you have that broken piece, cut the other tube and even them up. Then put them back through the pouch and with the help of a friend, stretch them and re-tie them on-while stretched. You'll get some more use out of them and they'll be stronger:D Hope it helps! Flatband:)

thanks alot for the advice flatband, I'll try it out tonight with the vaseline. Would you reckon vaseline or 303 aerospace protectant would be better for the job?

Has anyone bought this type of sling shot before that holds the amo in the handle? http://www.liangdianup.com/sporting_1.htm
this company has free shipping to anywhere in the world and they guarantee delivery to Australia. I heard that sling shots
are ok to sell in Australia as long as you say they are being used to toss bait in the water when you go fishing, any truth
to thatone?
