Now this is fun and hard shooting at the same time. In order to practice aerial targets for the 1,500 shot Guinness Record Shoot I paid a man $10.00 per hour to throw targets for me. Total was $600.00. Next was the live flushing Pheasant shoot and I found a way to do ONE MAN PRACTICE for flushing birds.
-WARNING- This is very strenuous, hard physical activity and may be too much for shooters under 65 years of age. I use a 4” “POOF” ball (softball will work) which I toss hard out in front of myself by getting my WRS ready to shoot and holding the practice bird on top of both hands holding the loaded WRS with a 50 cal paint ball. Paint balls for who knows were a lead ball would come down doing this also the paint balls mark the target. (It is hard to find a place to do aerial shooting and non-lethal 50cal paint balls sure help) Now crouched bent at the knees I toss hard the mock bird while coming into standing shooting position. Each mock bird seems to get tossed different with out trying and that is good for birds all seems to flush different. Next to hit the going away mock bird. I know that a few of you will try this. When you can hit the mock bird regularly you will do good on the real thing. Chief AJ of www.chiefaj.com

glad to see people are willing to spend alot of cash just to get ther skills improved.i dont believe in useing junk ammo and old bands on a slingshot just to save a few bucks.skills and priceless, but whenever you get the chance to buy them,DO IT! its well worth the money.even tho i got friends who would toss me targets for free :p

Here's is how I paid the target thrower for practice. I pre-sold the slingshots that would be used and were used in the Guinness Record shoot to collectors who wanted to be part of a World Wide Event. This was called “Take a Chance with the Chief” that He will do good shooting. After the big shoot I sent the numbers 0-12 to the owners with a certificate that their Numbered Chief AJ.com slingshot by Flatband was used in the Record Shoot. Back in ’87 I borrowed 18 Ruger 10/22 rifles to shoot a .22 rifle aerial record with, now those rifles are up over $2,000.00 each in value. A couple of these 10/22’a have resold for above that. Numbers 0-12 I had Flatband put on them #0-12 and after that Flatband started with #13 adding WRS for World Record Sling Shot on up WRS Number 100. Now several of the WRS’s have been shipped all over the World. I know what I was doing and years from now the #’s 0-12will sell for hundreds of dollars. I now miss each and every one of the real wooden slingshots. During the shootin of 1,500 targets I use all of #0-12 "Chosen Ones" several times.
