Has any one made a slingshot that will shoot an arrow well? I am in the process of making one and would greatly appreciate any input/help. Thanks

Duane, the best arrow shooting slingshot that I've found is Robert Blair's ComBow sling. I don't have the link to his site(my computer crashed recently and I haven't retrieved the info out of it). Run a search for Combow slingshot or Robert Blair. Flatband:)

I've been shooting arrows from slingshots since I got one as boy and so it's not a new thing. In the 1940's Wham-O did it, and I guess way before at the very beginning of elastic use (I've seen old patents) people have been shooting arrows from slingshots.

My only claim was that I come up with a couple different ways of doing it. I also designed, and do sell the only commercially available "Slingshot Only" "Bungee System" "EZ" Takedown Arrow and the "EZ" Arrow Rest Kit, which will fit on virtually any board cut, natural or metal frame slingshot, and comes with instructions and bead nocks to convert. any old arrows you may have laying around

Try the A+ Slingshots "EZ" way instead!!!! :D

I encourage you to take a look at my blog link about making your own as well.....

Again I do sell the "EZ" Slingshot Arrow Rest Kit and "EZ" Slingshot Takedown Arrows at my website. Please feel free to stop by and order a few.:)

I shoot arrows from a slingshot and find they are very effective. I use a simple Trumark slingshot and put a heavy rubber band across the forks ( 1/4 " x 3" doubled). Then I just place the arrow on top of the band with the nock in the pouch. Shoots great with little practice needed and no changes to the slingshot or arrow. Can easily slide the band down to the handle and shoot as a slingshot and vice versa. Have fun and enjoy.

I bought an A Plus slingshot and an arrow rest kit and it shoots great. Like archery you have to match the arrow to the draw length and sling pull weight but it works really well. Great set up Perry.

I have shot arrows out of every on the market sling u can buy. The key for me is to use a bow wisker biscuit rest from a hunting supply store. If you attach it dead center and keep adjusting it until the arrow has no fish tailing effect when fired you will be amazingly accurate. I replaced the tubing with speargun tubbing 1/2" thick. I attached a bow string and tied a D loop tO the string just like a bow and use a trigger release. My F1 chrono clocks a 800 grain carbon arrow at 170fps! That is fast than my blackwidow recurve bow. I have killed deer with it at 30 yards! This is no toy!!!!!
