Aerial target shooting

When practicing archery I occasionally done aerial target shooting
The day before yesterday we tryed some aerial shooting with a coke can as the target thrown into the air. It was just as fun as using a bow. Making it easier to hit something, yesterday I made a few larger round targets out of cardboard which looks like a discus. I recommend to give it a go its loads of fun.
A few tips… slingshots have long range so the targets should not be thrown too high. Shoot aerial targets in a suitable environment. For example I shoot across my property and over a very large basin lake.

You're a better shot them me Copper! I never was any good at hitting things in the air. I used to try to hold the slingshot and loaded pouch in one hand and throw something up and try to hit it. I think I did it 2 or 3 times! You're right though,if doing it, think big open space! Flatband:D

I actually have someone throw the target for me and have the slingshot loaded all I have to do is draw, aim and release.
Me and the misses take turns. Mind you I only hit the coke can 2-3 times out of 10. Having a larger target helps. lol

I've tried aerial shooting as well and I agree with you, It is really fun. I just suggest doing it on an open space. I mean something far from any houses. Cause when I did aerial shooting in our place I broke a neighbor's window. Believe me you won't like what they would say to you. :D

Shooting aerials is a blast I do it all the time with my bow and slingshot. I made a target thrower so I can practise by myself if there isn't any body to shoot with. Here is a link to a short video shooting paint balls at aerials this is a kick.

There appear to be two disks thrown by your machine. Is the smaller black one a second target, or is it part of the mechanism?

Yes there are two disks. The dark one is a twelve inch that I get from 3 rivers the other is a thicker one from an old archery target. It has a hard plastic surface on it the paint balls were penatrating the foam. If I want to throw one disk I change heads. I can throw just about anything I want. Clay pigeons, beer cans, foam footballs etc. :D
